Justin Ballard is a Raleigh native with nearly 20 years of experience in construction, carpentry, remodeling, and outdoor design.

His career has taken a unique path. Justin spent approximately eight years as a lead carpenter on ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, along with time working on Tiny House Nation, Bar Rescue, and several other television projects and pilots. Those years exposed him to a wide range of building challenges and reinforced an appreciation for craftsmanship, creative problem-solving, and getting the details right.

Today, Justin owns Ballard Built Design, specializing in custom cabinetry and residential remodeling, and is a co-founder of Carved Earth Design, which creates thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces from concept through construction. Carved Earth projects can include patios, retaining walls, drainage, lighting, landscaping, fencing, masonry, and other elements needed to create a cohesive finished space.

Whether working inside or outside the home, Justin approaches each project with the same priorities: quality craftsmanship, thorough planning, attention to detail, and clear communication. He believes the best projects aren't just built to look good when they're finished. They're designed and constructed to work well for years to come.
